TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” stands as a key player in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry, with approximately 80% of its total hydrocarbon output derived from liquid hydrocarbons. As one of the region’s rapidly expanding refining and production enterprises, the company significantly contributes to Kazakhstan’s national energy capacity and the broader international oil market.
Over the years, the company has maintained stable production performance supported by modern upstream technologies, efficient refining processes, and responsible field development strategies. The company’s production dynamics continue to be shaped by global market conditions and international energy agreements that guide sustainable output across the region.
Successful Complete Supply Products:
Since the launch of the current production program, TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” has achieved significant operational progress. Additional oil output has reached 180.2 thousand tons, driven by strategic well rehabilitation and optimization initiatives.
Two specialized technical teams successfully carried out 63 well repairs across 40 wells, focusing primarily on previously inactive wells and those awaiting abandonment. In addition, 32 GNO wells were fully completed, with 26 wells brought into active production. These wells now deliver consistent incremental daily output, further strengthening the company’s production capacity and ensuring reliable supply to its partners and markets.

TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” actively undertakes exploration projects aimed at expanding and strengthening its resource base. Our exploration activities consistently deliver strong results, driven by advanced geological assessment methods, innovative exploration technologies, and a strategic focus on high-potential regions identified through comprehensive research.
International Projects
TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” continues to enhance its global presence through strategic international exploration partnerships. In 2018, the company operated a major joint project as the lead operator with a 60% stake, alongside INPEX CORPORATION, holding 40%. Under this collaboration, extensive 3D seismic surveys were conducted on Block 10 as part of the approved exploration program. Additionally, a fourth well was successfully drilled and completed in a significant discovered field, yielding a commercial flow of dry crude oil, confirming the block’s promising potential.
