Transportation Modes & Infrastructure
To ensure seamless and cost-effective delivery, TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” employs a variety of transportation modes depending on cargo type, destination, and customer requirements:
- Pipelines — where available, pipelines serve as the most efficient and secure method for transporting crude oil or petroleum products from production sites or refineries to terminals, storage facilities, or export hubs.
- Maritime Shipping — for international and intercontinental deliveries, our shipments utilize tanker vessels appropriately sized for bulk liquid cargo. This ensures secure and efficient sea transport of crude and refined products to global destinations.
- Rail and Road Transport — for inland distribution, short-distance delivery, and regions not accessible by pipeline or sea, we use railcars and tanker-equipped trucks. This ensures flexible reach to domestic and regional customers, storage terminals, and retail distribution networks.
- Multimodal Logistics Solutions — depending on route, cargo volume, and destination, we combine transportation modes (pipeline + road + sea, pipeline + rail, etc.) to optimize cost, transit time, and reliability.
Storage & Terminal Handling
TOO “KHAZAR REFINERY” supports its logistics operations with access to strategically located storage terminals and tank farms. These facilities enable safe storage, blending, inventory management, and staging of crude oil and refined products prior to dispatch.
At marine terminals and loading facilities, our infrastructure includes loading arms, pipelines, pumping systems, tank storage, and safety/containment measures — ensuring efficient ship-loading/unloading operations, and compliance with international safety and environmental standards.
